About Social Justice

We understand social justice by serving a God who shows a particular concern for the least, the last, and the lost. It is His love and compassion for the weak, the vulnerable, the marginalized, the disenfranchised, the disinherited, which instructs our action toward fellow humans.

The source of social justice is God’s perfect righteousness and radical love. Biblical references to the word “Justice” means to make right that which is wrong in a Christ-like manner. Christian social justice gives human dignity, helps others flourish, and stands for the sacredness of life.

SERVING IN THE SOCIAL JUSTICE FIELD

Serving in the area of Social Justice Ministry, means you will engage in issues of injustice, protect the vulnerable, fight for those held in oppression, walk alongside the wounded and point them to the One who heals, restores and redeems.

This ministry will involve your time and sacrifice. It ensures that you will step out of your comfort zone and persevere with patience. It is touching the untouchables, while having the compassion of Christ. Social justice must be built on a foundation of prayer and a following of the Holy Spirit as He empowers you to do what is right.

Hear from members serving in the Social Justice field

This testimony refers to an Abortion Recovery Retreat for a group of Chinese ladies. The Lord took each of these participants on a journey full of grace and compassion. He tenderly cared for them, meeting them in their pain, loneliness, sorrow, detachment, guilt, and shame.

In an act of mercy, the Lord brought them to experience His love, by finding forgiveness, restoration, and freedom at the foot of the cross.

By the end of the retreat, joy was evident in the lives of these ladies. Two new believers were added to the church and the eight participants regained their voices to proclaim the praises to the One who called them from darkness into His wonderful light.

What an honor to be a witness of His abundant love!
