Ty & Jessica have a passion to be a part of Jesus’ commandment of “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20. God’s heart for the nations (‘Ethne’ or people group) has been unfolding through all time – starting all the way back in Genesis. God seeks glory among all peoples of the world. Yet, there are still over 2 billion people that are considered unreached. Many of those have no access to church, a Bible, or even a Christ follower to tell them the good news – the news that will save their soul.

Ty & Jess’ heart for the unreached people of the world began in a Perspectives class where God revealed to them His will for their family. So they said “yes” to the Lord and the Wrights embarked on a wild ride that took them to a secure country in East Asia for their internship, back to America to train new interns to go, and then in February 2021 to where they currently are serving, in Thailand. 

In Thailand, Ty and Jess have a focus of reaching the Thai people, a people group that has less than 2% Christian adherence. While Disciple Making Movements is their goal, they are starting a business, partnering with local Thais, to give a platform for not only disciple making, but also for community transformation in the village where the business is located. 

Ty and Jess have three wonderful daughters that love Thailand as much as their parents. The girls play a part in the ministry and business as well.
