Thom & Ruth met while serving with YWAM Scotland in 1974, were married at the end of that year on Christmas Day and set off for Liberty Bible College a month later to prepare them for planting a non-traditional church in Ruth’s home town of Dunfermline, Scotland.
Upon graduating from Liberty in 1979, they were sent by Globe with two other couples to begin the work. That church thrives today and is fully indigenous.
Through the years they have also served in Madrid, Spain and Motherwell, Scotland. They finally moved north to the beautiful Highlands in 1988 and planted, what is now a regional church, in Inverness.
They have three children and ten grandchildren. Lindsay and her husband, Adrian, are just back from serving for 6.5 years with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) in Africa, where Adrian was a pilot in Kenya and Sudan. Thomas, a building contractor, lives locally with his wife Joanne and four children. And Jeni, an artist and painter, lives locally with her husband, Jerry, and three beautiful girls.
Still very much involved, they are enjoying life as a new generation are being released to carry on the works that they have established over the years.
